The Hatch Dyneema Spearfishing Gloves are known for being highly abrasion resistant to survive more than one season of abuse on sharp reefs around the world. They are not insulated with neoprene, but instead these are woven with a single thread of Dyneema, then coated with Nitrile on the palm side. Much more comfortable and less restrictive than Neoprene gloves. Perfect for warm water spearfishing and lobster hunting.
Also great as an all around use durable abrasion/cut resistant glove. Deck hand, pulling traps, filleting fish, etc.
What is Dyneema ®?
Dyneema ® is the trade name given by the Dutch DSM to a high modulus polyethylene fiber.
Dyneema ® is excellent applications in the field of cordage and in the construction of bulletproof vests, because of the merits of its excellent strength, flexibility and lightness.
The reason for this high strength of Dyneema ®, as well as other aramid fibers, resides not only in the strong molecular bonds, in the low friction coefficient of the fibers, because in trying to cut a beam, you will notice that the fibers tend to slip l 'over one another, making even the sharpest blade slides over there without being able to cut.
